There’s nothing like beginning a month with a holiday to help it feel like it’s flying by like a firecracker. Pair that with a week long trip down to celebrate with family, and July has truly snuck up on me!

As I get back into the swing of things on the homestead, unpack, and hopefully dive productively into a few big sewing projects, I thought I’d host a giveaway to help get the second weekend of July (how did that happen!?) off to a fun start.

There are so many great prints in this collection–from the geometric play stash builders to the fabulous cicadas, all inspired by the rainy season in Japan. True to my naturalist heart, I love cicadas. I used to love to collect their exoskeletons from trees when I was a kid, and hook them all over my clothes to surprise the less-bug-loving kids on the block. Ahh, memories!

  18. I love this new line, and cicadas (I, too, would play with their exoskeletons as a kid). It’s pouring right now in Lancaster, PA and I’m at work, but is much rather be home snuggling with the cat and reading.

  31. I follow FQS on everything but their blog, but will add that too. Ah Cicadas. We just had our 17th year here which also happens to be my wife and I’s 17th anniversary. My daughter likes the shells too! And they love to follow me on the riding mower. However they are done here but they have left nymphs for the next go round. The trees bear witness to it

  34. I follow FQS through all the various listed apps and at Bloglovin. Cicadas were here in WV for their 17 yr appearance which is also mine and my wife’s anniversary (Tishnwonderland.com). My daughter likes the shells as well.

  41. I feel less urgency to get things done and instead finding myself enjoying a good book, the smell of cookies in the oven or simply sewing up tons of blocks for a scrape project.

  45. On rainy days I like to snuggle with the kids under the quilts I’ve made, and share Classic movies from my era. With it being winter and school holidays at the moment, there is a lot of that lately.
